The Sergeant Slim takes our best-selling wallet and strips it down to the essentials. Same trusted Sergeant footprint, same authentic decommissioned fire hose, with the elastic cash strap removed entirely.

Why we removed the strap.

The elastic is the one component most likely to wear out. It stretches and fatigues over years of daily carry. Fire hose doesn't. Taking it off makes the wallet thinner, cleaner, and longer lived.

Also, let's be honest: who's carrying cash anymore? For most of us that strap was holding a folded receipt, a punch card for a sandwich shop that closed, and a twenty from 2019 that's been through the wash twice.

Still carry a few bills? Fold them and tuck them in with your cards. The Slim carries cash just fine, it just doesn't wear it on the outside.

If you carry a real fold of cash and want it strapped down, grab the original Sergeant Wallet with its 3" elastic strap instead.

Why is there no cash strap?

Because it's the part most likely to fail. Elastic loses tension over years of daily carry; the hose never will. Removing it also makes the wallet noticeably thinner. And honestly, who's carrying cash anymore? That strap spent most of its life holding a receipt.

Can I still carry cash?

Yes. Just fold your bills and tuck them in with your cards instead of strapping them to the outside. A few bills slide right in. If you carry a thick fold and want it held down, the standard Sergeant and its 3" elastic strap is the better tool.

How many cards does it hold?

Roughly 4 to 10, depending on how thick your cards are and the thickness of the hose it was cut from. Tucking cash in will take up a slot or two.

How is it different from the regular Sergeant?

Same footprint, same material, minus the cash strap. Thinner, simpler, and focused on cards and ID rather than cash.

Is this really made from used fire hose?

Yes. We source decommissioned fire hose retired from active service, then cut and sew it one at a time.

Will my wallet have markings on it?

It might. Repurposed fire hose carries character: original department lettering, scuffs from service, and color variation. Those are not defects.

Is there a leather version?

Yes. The Slim Gator Edition is the same strap-less design in genuine American alligator.
