It comfortably holds a modern smartphone, a small wallet, keys, cards, earbuds, a multi-tool, a small flashlight, chargers, or first-aid basics. It's the right size when the Scout feels too tight but you don't want to step up to the Commander.

How does the clip attach?

The Ranger ships with a heavy-duty metal clip that snaps onto belt loops, MOLLE webbing, bag straps, keyrings, and gear loops. Same clip used on the Scout — strong enough to take real abuse, simple enough to use one-handed.

Is the pouch waterproof?

The 1000D Cordura and YKK zipper are highly water-resistant and shrug off rain, splashes, and snow. The pouch is not submersible — don't drop it in a creek and expect dry contents, but daily weather is no problem.

How do I clean it?

Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Air dry. Do not machine wash, do not tumble dry — heat and agitation will shorten the life of the Cordura and the zipper.

Hot Shot Commander ($35, largest) is the maximum-capacity option for bulkier gear like a small dopp kit, larger tools, or a compact first-aid kit.
