Any 3.5 by 5.5 inch side-folding notebook. That covers Field Notes (all models), Moleskine Cahier, Moleskine Volant, and similar small pocket notebooks. The side-fold is the key — top-spiral notebooks won't fit. Pen and notebook sold separately.

What materials is it made from?

Decommissioned 5-inch polyester fire hose supply line — the kind that connects fire hydrants to engines. Edged with 1-inch military-grade nylon webbing, sewn with size 90 nylon thread (15 lbs breaking strength), and finished with 3 oz top-grain USA steer hide leather for the pen sleeve.

How does the pen sleeve work?

Top-grain leather sleeve on the inside fold holds a standard pen. Slips in, stays put through pocket carry, comes out when you need to write. Fits most Field Notes-size pens including Fisher Space Pens.

Will my cover have unique markings on it?

Yes. Each piece of fire hose comes with its own service history — original department lettering, scuffs from real fires, color variation, unique wear patterns. These are not defects. Limited Edition (flame icon) pieces tend to have the most distinctive markings.
