Minimalist EDC
Minimalist EDC Wallet
One of the most important parts of any everyday carry system is the wallet. We've taken a lot of pride in providing the most efficient, yet minimal wallets over the past few years.
Recycled Firefighter Sergeant vs Rookie Wallet
In terms of which Recycled Firefighter wallets would be considered "minimalist", I would point you to the Sergeant as my first pick and the Rookie as my second. Both of these wallets can be carried in your front pocket and are very slim/lightweight.
The Sergeant is a small sleeve style wallet, which holds up to 8 cards, along with a small stack of cash. While the Rookie is a minimalist bi-fold that holds up to 12 cards and a small stack of cash. Both are nearly identical in terms of height/width, while the Rookie adds more to the thickness.
Minimalist EDC Gear
The picture above shows the majority of my primary everyday carry gear. I keep it very minimal, so I can keep my pockets lighter and more comfortable.
-
Wallet:
I typically carry the Sergeant Wallet these days with 6 cards in it and around 10 assorted cash bills on the back. -
Knife:
It isn't exactly small or minimal (lol), but I've been carrying the powerhouse Cold Steel Recon 1 in S35VN lately. -
iPhone 8 and Moment Case:
I keep the Moment Case on at all times for protection from drops. But to also accommodate an add-on lens when I need to take different types of shots for our Instagram. -
Lens Cloth:
Not only do I wear glasses, but I can't stand for my phone or lens to be covered in smudges. -
Small Flashlight:
I've been carrying the FourSevens Preon P1 as of late. Super small, but really bright.
Minimalist Photographer EDC
As I mentioned above, I do a lot of on-the-go photography for our Instagram and just everyday life. So, sometimes to keep things minimal I leave the camera behind and use add-on lenses for my iPhone.
-
Moment Wide Lens:
This lens doubles the field of view for your iPhone and gives more versatility to an awesome camera that is already sitting in your pocket. -
Extra Storage:
To give me extra storage, I carry a Sandisk iXpand drive for my iPhone. This also makes files transfers a lot easier when I get them back to my computer.
